How do I see a Threads profile picture in full size?

Type the username into the box above and press Get Full-Size Picture. The tool shows the largest version Threads stores, which is much bigger than the small circle in the app.

What size is the downloaded picture?

Usually 640×640 or 1080×1080 pixels — whatever the largest size Threads keeps for that account is. The exact size is shown under the picture.

Do I need to log in to Threads or Instagram?

No. There's no login and no sign-up, and the person isn't notified that you looked.

Is a Threads profile picture the same as the Instagram one?

Often, yes — Threads profiles are built on Instagram accounts and many people use the same photo. But they can be set separately, so this shows the one on Threads.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It runs in any mobile browser. On iPhone the picture saves to Files; on Android it goes to Downloads and your gallery.

Can I use someone's profile picture?

Viewing it is fine; reposting or reusing someone's photo as your own isn't. Ask the person before using their picture anywhere.

View a Threads Profile Picture in Full Size

Threads shows profile pictures as small circles and doesn't let you tap to enlarge them. Behind that circle, Threads keeps a much larger square version. This tool finds the biggest one available and shows it uncropped, so you can actually see who you're looking at — then save it with one tap.
