How can I see who unfollowed me on Instagram?

Instagram doesn't send a notification when someone unfollows you. Download your Instagram data export (Followers and following), drop the ZIP into the unfollow checker and keep “Track unfollowers” ticked. The next time you upload a newer export, the checker compares the two and lists exactly who unfollowed you and who followed you.

How do I see who doesn't follow me back on Instagram?

Upload your Instagram export ZIP and open the Not following back tab. It lists every account you follow that doesn't follow you, newest first, with a link to each profile. You can search the list, sort it oldest first, copy it or save it as a CSV.

Is this Instagram unfollow checker free?

Yes. The checker is completely free, with no sign-up, no limit on how many accounts you check and no app to install.

Do I need to log in or give my Instagram password?

No. SpyBroski never asks for your Instagram login. You only enter your password in Meta's own export window to confirm the download. Apps that ask for your password to show unfollowers break Instagram's rules and can get your account locked or banned.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Your ZIP is opened and read by JavaScript in your own browser. Nothing is sent to our servers: you can even turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and the checker still works. If you tick “Track unfollowers”, the usernames are saved only in your browser's local storage, and you can delete them any time with “Forget it”.

Which Instagram export format works: JSON or HTML?

Both. We recommend JSON because it contains the exact date you followed each account, which lets you sort by follow date. HTML exports work as well, including exports in other languages.

How long does the Instagram data download take?

Meta says an export can take up to 30 days, but a small export with only Followers and following usually arrives within minutes to a few hours. You'll get an email and a notification, and the download stays available for 4 days.

Why does the checker show fewer followers than my profile?

Make sure you set the date range to All time when creating the export. With a shorter range such as Last year, Instagram only includes people who followed you during that period. Deactivated accounts may also be left out of the export.

Why does someone show as unfollowed when they still follow me?

Instagram exports list usernames, so if someone changed their username or temporarily deactivated their account, they look like an unfollow. Open the profile link to check.

Is this a free Instagram unfollowers tracker?

Does Instagram notify someone when I unfollow them?

No. Instagram doesn't notify people when you unfollow them, and this checker never unfollows anyone. You decide whom to unfollow, by hand, in the app.

Can I check someone else's unfollowers?

Only the account owner can download its data export, so the checker works for your own accounts. To look at another public account's profile and posts, use our Instagram profile viewer instead.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. In the Instagram app go to your profile → ☰ → Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information, then open the ZIP from your Files or Downloads folder in this page. A computer is easier for large exports.

How to Download Your Instagram Data (Followers and Following)

Instagram's “Export your information” tool gives you a ZIP with your full followers and following lists. It takes about two minutes to request. Use these settings so the export is small and arrives fast:

Open Settings
On instagram.com, open your profile, click More (☰) at the bottom left, then Settings.

Search “download”
Type download in the settings search and choose Download your information (Meta Account).

Export your information
Accounts Center opens. Click Your information and permissions, then Export your information.

Click Create export. Finished exports show up under Available downloads on this same screen later.

Export to device
Pick your Instagram profile if asked, then choose Export to device.

Change three settings
On Confirm your export, open Customize information, set Date range to All time and set Format to JSON. Leave Media quality as it is.

Tick only “Followers and following”
Clear every box, then tick Followers and following under Connections and click Save. A small export arrives in minutes instead of days.

Under Format, pick JSON and click Save. HTML works too, but JSON includes the exact date you followed each account.

Start export
Click Start export and re-enter your Instagram password in Meta's own window. You never type it on SpyBroski.

Download the ZIP and check it
Instagram emails you when the file is ready, usually within minutes for a followers-only export. Go back to Export your information, click Download under Available downloads (you have 4 days), then drop the ZIP into the unfollow checker. No need to unzip it.

Free Instagram Unfollowers Tracker: No Login, No App

An Instagram unfollow checker tells you who stopped following you and who never followed you back. Used regularly, it becomes an Instagram unfollowers tracker: every new export is compared with the last one. Instagram itself shows neither, and most unfollower apps want your Instagram password to find out. SpyBroski works differently: it reads the data export Instagram already gives you, right in your browser.

Why you shouldn't give unfollower apps your password

Apps that log in to your account to track unfollowers break Instagram's terms. Instagram often locks, restricts or bans accounts that use them, and handing your password to a third party is a security risk in itself. With the export method, the only place you type your password is Meta's own confirmation window.

Who doesn't follow me back on Instagram?

The Not following back list is every account in your following list that isn't in your followers list. Brands and celebrities will show up there, and that's normal. Sort it oldest first to find people you followed years ago who never followed you back, then unfollow them by hand in the app. Unfollowing a few dozen at a time helps you avoid Instagram's action blocks.

How to see who stopped following you on Instagram

An export is a snapshot of one moment, so finding unfollowers needs two of them. When you tick “Track unfollowers”, the checker keeps the usernames of your followers in this browser only. Upload a newer export later and it lists everyone who was there before but is gone now. Renamed and deactivated accounts also count as gone, so check the profile before you react.
